I told you I’d be back. And here I am.
From now on I’ll be using wordpress everyday… finally.

A friend of mine sent me a link via Twitter. It’s a cute virtual fish tank with little red customizable fish. You can feed them fish food by clicking your mouse anywhere inside the rectangle. Under the widget you’ll find some ways to post it on your blog. There’s also a wordpress button. I tried it but had no success. The problem is… I typed my login and password. I know, I shouldn’t have done so. But it looked so trustworthy. Maybe it is. The fact is …the widget didn’t appear on the blog. I had to post it here mannually.
Any hints on what I’ve done wrong?
I’ve always loved the idea of learning constantly. Learning is something above the idea of school, courses and so on. That’s why I feel bad about not having enought time/energy to learn how to use wordpress properly. I keep reading everywhere how wonderful all the wordpress tools are but all I do is come here once in a while (or, perhaps, once in a lifetime…), open the form, write a simple text post and leave.
It’s like going to Disneyland just to eat popcorn and missing all the rides.
Is there a tutorial like ‘wordpress for dummies’? Or maybe… learn wordpress in 5 minutes?
Has anybody found out the proper way to download information directly to my brain like Neo did in Matrix? If you know how to do it, please leave a comment. I’ll drop by next year to read it! After all, next year is just a few days away..
Happy 2008.
Ecology is the most intelligent concept you can get in the real world. The idea that everything is related, the concept of interference changing the environment, the need to preserve as a logical way of surviving, they are all enlightning and clear to anyone who gives it a little thought.
I’ve planted thousands of trees during my life but now a new ideal struck me, inspired by a friend I met throught Skype. Why not calculate the energy we consume every month and plant the equivalent amount in energy generating trees?
As I work for a very consuming media, Television, the need to plant is even bigger. She, Brigida, is helping me calculate the number of trees we have to plant every week to compensate all we consume to make a 2-hour tv show. So, at the end of every transmission, the crew and cast will plant the correspondent number of trees.
Neat idea for a better world, don’t you think?
I’ve tried Second Life but so far I feel totally ridiculous getting lost and flying above the sea, never getting anywhere. It takes time to learn how to live as an avatar and, well, let’s say I’ve decided to invest that time in my first life.
But I found out I can manage to have a second blog. For more than 7 years I’ve been writing daily on my first blog, Querido Leitor (Dear Reader). Now it’s turning one year since I started writing my second blog professionally, the Skype Blog in Brazil.
This is the 3rd blog, the first one in English.
But I’ve recently been contacted and invited to write two other blogs. So, I guess I will finally make a living out of blogging.
Nice goal for the future!

It was not a terrotist attack.
The plane belongs to Cory Lidley, from the NY Yankees.

Take a good look at today’s Technorati tag and site ranking.
Lindsay Lohan is in second place, probably because she was recently caught by a photographer wearing no panties.
The fake Lonely Girl from YouTube is in the ranking too. And YOuTube, of course.
So, as you see, the web is a giant paradise for voyeurism…

One of the new hyped blogs in Brazil is called twixgigante.blogspot.com, that is, giant twix. It is exactly the same thing you’ll see in the famous Pimp That Snack, in portuguese and with only one snack.
The idea is funny and baking giant sweets can be a lot of fun.
The problem is, as you pimp the snack you also pimp the calories!
My favorite is this giant Oreo, from Flickr.
The project is on. Fine, really nice. Visit the link.
However, the explanations on the site, which should guide the web user to take part in the project, are very confuse.
